R77
Rust
Remover
For
Hard Stone - Acid Base For
use only on acid tolerant surfaces (granite, quartzite, etc.)
Removes rust spots and inhibits formation of new rust.
Suitable for interior and exterior use. For professional use
only!
HMK® R77 is a ready to use special product
that specifically removes rust spots and stains from all acid
tolerant dense stone.
Special additives reduce the development of rust after
treatment. Do not
apply in direct sunlight. Acid-sensitive surfaces such as
polished and honed marble, limestone, agglomerates and concrete
products, plastics and certain metal surfaces can be damaged by
contact with HMK® R77.
For interior and exterior use.
Important:
Do not wet surface before being treated.
HMK® R77 can darken the stone if allowed to
dry on the surface, although this may be reversed over time.
Instructions:
Protect all adjacent surfaces. If under-floor heating exists,
switch it off and allow the surface to cool to room temperature.
Apply undiluted HMK® R77 generously and evenly
and work into the surface using a scrubbing brush, stiff brush
or a suitable pad.
Always apply to the whole surface.
Place towels soaked with R77 onto the surface to keep the
surface wet and to ensure that the treatment does not dry out.
Immediately after application, cover the surface with plastic
and let sit for 12 hours.
Remove any remaining product on the surface after 12
hours and clean the area thoroughly using HMK® R55
Intensive Cleaner -acid free- diluted with clean water about
1:10 and remove the
dirty liquid.
Afterwards, rinse the area thoroughly with clean water.
Note:
Using R77 on soft stones (marble, limestone, etc.)
will damage the surface and/or the polished finish.
During the 12 hour treatment period, it may be necessary
to apply another coat of HMK® R77.
In the case of very heavy rust stains repeat the
procedure. When using a wet vacuum we recommend that you add HMK®
Z102 de-foamer to the water to regulate the amount of
foam.
Coverage:
About 50 to 160 square feet per liter
Warning:
Chemical product. Contains phosphoric acid. Corrosive. Avoid
eye/skin contact. If exposed, wash/flush with water and seek
medical attention. Take appropriate safety precautions when
dealing with corrosives. At all times wear suitable protective
clothing (gloves, masks, boots, etc.). Keep out of the reach of
children. See Material Safety Data Sheet for more detailed
information. Do not
use the product in temperatures below 50 and above 80°F.

12 x 1L bottles per box; 2 x 5L bottles per box
Storage:
Store in cool place. Keep lid tightly closed.
Testing:
Always test the product in an inconspicuous area to evaluate
suitability, coverage and performance.
