Terracotta Cleaner

Acid Base

Removes grout & cement residue, construction dirt,

lime and calcium deposits, and efflorescence. Suitable for

all unglazed terracotta, brick & block paving and clay tiles.

HMK^® R65 is a heavy duty acid based concentrated cleaner for removing grout and cement residue, construction dirt, persistent limes deposits and efflorescence from unglazed terracotta, clay tiles, brick & block paving, unglazed ceramic and porcelain tiles, concrete blocks, bricks and acid tolerant natural and artificial stone. Special inhibitors control oxidation of vanadium salts, manganese, pyrite and other metallic deposits commonly found in clay tiles and bricks. For interior and exterior use.

Note: Do not apply in direct sunlight. Acid-sensitive surfaces such as polished and fine honed marble & limestone, metal and plastics, etc. can be damaged by contact with acid base products like HMK^® R65. For the removal of light construction dirt use HMK^® R55 Intensive Cleaner -acid free- as an alternative.

Instructions: Protect all adjacent surfaces. If under-floor heating exists switch it off and allow the surface to cool to room temperature. HMK^® R65 should be diluted with clean water (approx. 1:2 to 1:10) depending on the intensity of the dirt. Working on manageable sized areas at a time, wet the surface to be treated before application and apply HMK^® R65 to the wet surface and work in using a scrubbing brush, broom or a suitable pad. Let sit for a short t ime but do not allow it to dry, scrub the area again and remove the dirty liquid. After the application process is completed, clean the area thoroughly, using HMK^® R55 Intensive Cleaner -acid free- diluted approx. 1:10 with clean water. Afterwards, rinse the area thoroughly with clean water. Repeat the cleaning procedure in the case of very strong contamination. When using a wet vacuum we recommend that you add HMK^® Z102 de-foamer to the water to regulate the amount of foam.

Coverage: About 100 to 450 square feet per liter

Warning: Chemical product. Contains inhibited dilute formic acid. Corrosive. Fumes may cause eye and skin burns and oxidation. Avoid eye/skin contact. If exposed, wash/flush with water and seek medical attention. Keep out of the reach of children. See Material Safety Data Sheet for more detailed information. Do not use the product in temperatures below 50 and above 80°F.

Packaging: 12 x 1L bottles per box; 2 x 5L bottles per box

Storage: Store in a cool place. Keep lid tightly closed.

Testing: Always test the product in an inconspicuous area to evaluate suitability, coverage and performance.
