HMK
P6 Home Care Kit has been specially developed for use on all
natural and semi-natural stone surfaces such as kitchen
counters, bathroom vanities, table and bar tops, windowsills,
fire places, shower areas, and small entry ways.
For use on all installations, new and old.
Instructions:
1.
Step
One Installation Clean Up and Surface
Preparation with HMK R55 Intensive Cleaner.
This step cleans the stone surface and opens the pores to
allow for an easy and thorough penetration of HMK®
S34 Silicone Impregnator.
HMK®
R55 is also perfect for periodic thorough cleaning.
In case of new installation, do not perform step one
until the setting bed and stone have had 5-7 days to cure and
dry. Liberally
apply R55 at full strength with a non-abrasive sponge.
Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes, but do not let dry.
Agitate and brush with same sponge or suitable pad.
Do not use common household nylon pads.
Thoroughly rinse surface with clean water and allow to
dry for at least 48 hours (very important) before moving on to
the next step.
2.
Step
Two. Protection with HMK®
S34 Silicone Impregnator.
This step will last for several years and will help to
prevent dirt, water and oil from penetrating into the stone and
leaving permanent stains. Protect all adjacent non-masonry
surfaces. Apply S34N generously and evenly to a chemically clean
and dry surface with a natural bristle paint brush or the HMK®
Z170-171 brushes. Two saturating, wet-on-wet applications are
usually sufficient depending on porosity of the stone.
Thoroughly remove excess product before drying on the surface.
For more absorbent surfaces additional applications may be
required. Subsequent applications may be done within fifteen
minutes of the initial application, but it is best to wait 24
hours between applications to best determine saturation level.
Smears or imperfections left after the application process can
be removed using a soft clean cloth moistened with S34N and
buffing. S34 will
dry in 1-3 hours and fully cure within 48 hours.
Do not use surface for food preparation or expose it to
heavy traffic or spills while curing.
Once fully cured, HMK S34 is not hazardous to your
health.
3.
Step
Three.
Maintenance with HMK P1 - 3 in 1 Spray Cleaner.
HMK®
P1 is an exceptional product for quick and effortless removal of
light dirt and grease - polishes and protects in one action.
Easy to use... Just spray and wipe! Shake well before use. Spray
HMK®
P1 evenly onto the dry surface. Allow a short period of time
(approx. 1-3 minutes) for the product to become effective then
wipe or buff the area with a soft cloth or paper towel.
When the surface is dry, buff with a dry cloth to bring
up the polish. Suitable for use in food preparation areas.
Coverage:
About 30 to 50 square feet per kit.
Warning:
Chemical Products.
S34 Contains Turpentine Substitute - Flammable.
Keep out of reach of children. Do not use the product in
temperatures below 50 and above 80°F.
Storage:
Store in a cool place. Keep lids tightly closed.
Testing:
Always test the product in an inconspicuous area to
evaluate suitability, coverage and performance.
