HMK®
P28
Terracotta Wax
Wax
treatment for unglazed terracotta, brick pavers and
clay
tiled surfaces. Solvent based. For interior use only.
HMK® P28 is a ready to use natural wax
(available in brown and natural appearance) that slightly
enhances the color and leaves a satin shine on unglazed
terracotta, clay and brick surfaces. HMK® P28
contains additives that give the surface an antique and rustic
appearance. Water and dirt penetration is reduced and surfaces
become easier to maintain and more durable. Do not use in wet
areas such as shower cabins.
Note: HMK® P26 Terracotta Care should follow the
application of HMK® P28 to help blend in any HMK®
P28 unevenness. Allow HMK® P28 to cure for 24
to 48 hours before applying HMK® P26.
Important:
Clean
stone surface thoroughly and let it dry (max. residual moisture
of 2-4%). If under floor heating exists, switch it off and allow
the surface to cool. Shake well before use.
Instructions:
Shake very well before using.
Working within manageable area, apply the mixture thinly
and evenly with HMK® Z170-171 application brushes, a
white terry cloth, or a soft brush and rub in gently and allow
to dry. Once dry buff the surface either by hand using a soft
cloth, a hand held polishing machine using a lambswool bonnet,
or a floor polishing machine with soft brushes. Repeat the
treatment for very absorbent surfaces. To maintain the
appearance, repeat the treatment in accordance with usage but at
least once per year. To clean surface thoroughly
before treatment and to periodically refresh the surface use HMK®
R55 Intensive Cleaner. For regular cleaning and continued
protection use HMK® P24 Liquid Stone Soap, a no-rinse
natural product and HMK® P26 Terracotta Care.
Important: Do not walk on the treated surface until the
procedure is completed. Do not apply to rubber, plastic,
lacquered, waxed or varnished wood and solvent-intolerant
surfaces.
Coverage:
About 50 to 110 square feet per liter.
Warning:
Chemical product. Flammable. Contains Turpentine Substitute.
Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Harmful or fatal if
swallowed or inhaled. Ensure adequate ventilation during the
application process. Avoid eye/skin contact and breathing vapor
or mist. If exposed flush/wash with water and seek medical
attention. Keep container closed and out of the reach of
children. Do not use
the product in temperatures below 50 and above 80°F.
Packaging:
12 x 1 liter bottles/box; 2 x 5 liter cans/box.
Storage:
Store in a cool place and ensure the lid is kept tightly closed.
Testing: Always test the product in an inconspicuous area to
evaluate suitability, coverage and performance.
