HMK® Z101
Bonding Emulsion
For Mortar, Cement and Substrates

APPLICATION:
A special chemical designed to improve all hydraulic bonding products. Improves bonding/shear strength and elasticity of thin/medium and thick mortar beds. When applied to gypsum/plaster boards and similar substrate it increases bonding. Prevents breaking and/or loosening of installed tile. Suitable for interior/exterior natural stone, ceramic/porcelain tile floor and wall applications, especially for larger formats.

DIRECTIONS:
Add Z101 to the water to be used with the mortar according to following proportions:

Mortar bed thickness
3/4" - 1 part Z101 to 2 parts water
1 1/2" - 1 part Z101 to 4 parts water
2 1/4" - 1 part Z101 to 6 parts water

To further improve the bonding, brush or roll Z101 onto th back side of the tile and immediately install.

COVERAGE:
35-55 sqft., 3-5 square meters per liter (34 oz.) container when applied to backside of tiles or substrate.

5 qts (5 liters) when mixed with 55 lbs (25 kg.) of setting materials for thin/medium bed installations.

5 qts (5 liters) when mixed with 110 lbs (50 kg.) of setting materials for thick bed installations.

WARNING:

PACKAGING:
1 liter cans (34 oz.) 12 per case, 5 liter cans (5.68 qts.) 4 per case.

STORAGE:
Store in cool place.
