HMK® S45
Water Base Impregnator
Terra Cotta, Concrete, Brick

APPLICATION:
A special silicone base impregnator of highest stability against alkali, water and dirt. For interior and exterior use on all types of terra cotta, unglazed Mexican pavers, quarry tile, brick, brick pavers, masonry and Portland cement. Also highly suited for sandstone, cantera, and other very absorbent non calcareous and cast stone. Surface treated with HMK® S45 is highly vapor permeable and leaves a totally natural appearance. May be used as a pre-sealer/grout release.

Note: Not for use on dense stone or on any dark colored natural and cast stone. HMK® S34 is the appropriate impregnator for these materials.

DIRECTIONS:
Apply full strength or diluted 1:1 with water to a chemically clean and dry surface. Use HMK® Z170-171 brushes, roller, or airless spray applicator at low pressure. Important, one even and saturating application is sufficient, should an additional coat be added do so within 5 minutes. Remove any remaining excess S45 within five minutes to avoid white discoloration. Complete water repellency occurs within 12-48 hours. While drying, protect treated surface as much as possible against rain and humidity.

COVERAGE:
20-50 sqft., 1.8-4.5 square meters per 1 liter (34 oz.) container.

WARNING:
Chemical product. Contains Potassium Hydroxide. Corrosive. Avoid eye and skin contact. If exposed, flush/wash with water. Keep out of reach of children. See Material Safety Data Sheet.

PACKAGING:
1 liter cans (34 oz.) 12 per case, 5 liter cans (5.68 qts.) 4 per case, 10 liter cans (11.36 qts.) 2 per case.

STORAGE:
Store in cool place. Keep lid tightly closed.

TESTING:
Perform testing on a sample tile and actual installation to determine number of coats necessary to protect particular stone, visual appearance of tile after S45 application and stain protection against water and dirt infiltration.
