HMK® S40
Jobsite Protector/Grout Release

APPLICATION:
A water base acrylic coating for jobsite application for interior and exterior use on all natural stone surfaces; especially for rough, textured and flamed finishes. HMK® S40 produces a protective coating to prevent the adhesion of cement and latex/resin modified grouts to the surface and possible staining that might result from colored grout pigments. It also protects the surface against installation/construction dirt, and facilitates the later clean up.

DIRECTIONS:
Apply to dry surface before or after installation, but no later than 12 hours before the grouting. Using a paint roller, one thin coat is sufficient. Avoid allowing to much HMK® S40 to penetrate into grout joints. After the grouting, sponge off grout residue with water as well as possible. Once all installation/construction work is completed, S40 and the remaining dirt should be removed with HMK® R55 Intensive Cleaner/Grout Film Remover. If S40 remains on surface for more than 48 hours, use R80 Stripper/Stain Remover for removal. Repeat cleaning procedures if necessary.

NOTE: Do not use any acidic cleaners since they will harden the S40.

COVERAGE:
100-200 sqft., 9-18 square meters per 1 liter (34 oz.) container.

WARNING:
Chemical product. Keep out of reach of children. Keep from freezing.

PACKAGING:
1 liter cans (34 oz.) 12 per case, 5 liter cans (5.68 qts.) 4 per case.

STORAGE:
Store in cool place. Keep lid tightly closed.

TESTING:
Always test procedure first in an inconspicuous area to determine number of coats needed, performance, and its removal.
